Just wondering if anyone has a pattern or drawing or good photos of the bolted brackets for fitting side steps to a D1. (not rock sliders)
Would be very much appreciated if someone does. Would like to fit steps so my elderly mother (86) can get into my Disco.
Cheers

Slowboat, I have a set of TJM side steps that come off my D1 with all the associated bracketry and bolts fitted by the previous owner, I removed them because they restrict the ramp over ability of the vehicle, so before I bent them I removed them. Because we are at extreme ends of the country it would be impractical to try and get them to you, if those are the brand you are thinking of using I may be able to help with the bracket info, but if you are buying some new they should come as a kit.
I am off on Saturday for a 10 day 4WD trip in the D1 up the OTL track, but if you PM me in the meantime I will see what info I can pass on when I get back.
The front bracket mounts are secured by some of the gearbox X-member bolts that go through the chassis rails to support the transmission and the rears are fixed to a body support outrigger bracket off the chassis right and left hand side, for these you need to drill the holes.
