Hi all.

I have my eye on a pair of large stereo speakers that are on eBay in Melbourne.

What's the best way to get them to Sydney?

I've tried a couple of the couriers free quote calculators online and the prices are all over the place, and they all seem very high.

When I got my last set of tyres for the defender sent from Melbourne to Sydney it hardly cost me anything. What am I missing?

Just a quick browse found this.
Is $50 reasonable?

If you can wait a few weeks, I'll be driving past heading up to Glenreigh. Happy to pick them up for you early next week and store them until then.

Depending on your exact location, I could meet you somewhere or get them right to your door.

It would be on the morning of Wednesday the 2nd October if that works.:)

Cheers - Gav.

Thanks very much for the effort Mick. Much appreciated.
The seller doesn't want to go to any effort so wouldn't drop it off at the depot his end. Picking up from his door seems to be the expensive bit I think.

Thanks Gav, a very generous offer!
To be clear, you'd pick them up from Highett and drive them to Sydney?

The people on this site never cease to impress me.

No reason I can't drive through the city and over the Harbour Bridge on my way up, so looking at a map, I see no reason that I can't swing past your place. I'll be at Thirlmere the night before, so by the time I get on my way fom there and mosey on up, I should be there mid to late morning.:)

PM your address and if your going to be at home or work, etc around that time. I'll be up for a coffee by then, so you can buy me one as payment if you like.:)

That can be arranged. Gav's offer is better though.
