Very happy to have found one of the few white L322 2012 Luxurys available in Australia. Only done 14,000km. Those ridiculous 22" Kahns will eventually have to come off, fortunately the car came with the original 20" wheels and tyres, zero km on them.

Well Chris, you're right, what a magnificent car! And white is so the right colour choice.
I'm astounded at the difference in ride quality compared to the RRS, which I thought was pretty good until I picked up the Vogue yesterday. There's daylight between them...and that's with the Vogue on 22s with 285/40 rubber. I guess it'll be even better with the original 20s on it.
Just remarkable fuel consumption. Sitting on 100kmh on the freeway this afternoon, and the readout is showing less than SIX L/100KM. Doing 1250rpm. That's at least 2.5l/100km better than the RRS with the 3.0 TDV6 at the same speed. Just bloody amazing.
And the cabin feels 50% bigger and more airy. Having the sunroof probably helps that.
Looking forward to towing the boat 2 or 3 hours north to see how that feels.

Nice one Greg.
It is interesting to hear your thoughts re RRS to L322, I’ve been touting these points for ages, to be met by “why would anyone bother” and the best one “the RRS/D4 is actually better, just an ego price premium for the FFRR”. Guess it’s easy to see who has actually sat in one. :D
However, I'm still not a fan of the split tailgate, worst feature of L322

Photos Greg :D Yes please, need pics as an attachment, not linking off to somewhere else which seems to be the trend.

If I knew how to attach photos I would, it seems to me the forum only allows referencing photos to a hyperlink. Clues?
Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the tailgate arrangement. Having said that, I did find myself sitting on it having a cup of tea in the garage yesterday:-)
The other minor disappointment compared with the RRS is that in the FFRR you can't create a digital speed readout on the TFT screen.
But minor quibbles. My boat partner was about to replace his RRS with a second-hand Lexus 570 until I told him about the FFR's attributes - how's now madly scouring carsales for a 07-08 TDV8 3.6 and demands I take my FFR around to him for a drive this morning.

In the reply to thread window (or new thread), click on attachments as marked in Step1 pic attached. :p
Then a window will be displayed (you may have to enable popups for this site) that looks like Step2 pic.
In the Manage Attachments window, click on Choose File and browse to file as normal. Then click on Upload and the pic is resized and saved to the AULRO server.
Once all pics are listed under Current Attachments click on Close Window.
By adding pis as attachments and not pasting the whole picture in to the thread, others see your post as this and can view pictures as wanted, instead of your post becoming several screens long.

Aha....like this then? I'd post more, but it's been hammering down here all day. Maybe tomorrow. Mind you, we all know what they look like....

Veeeeeery nice.
And don't worry about the pics being upside down, with an iPad it's no real problem.
Might be a little tricky for those with a big 32" monitor though :D

Nice colour. I too came from the D4 and the digital speedo was so annoying at the beginning.
After a while you forget and the ride and comfort is too enjoyable to care about the quirks.
Enjoy (and sport mode is much fun!)
