Old mate from europe has designed and built this front winch bar he has posted it on the Aulro facebook page..

Looks like he might want to bring them over here..few people have told him about ADRs but he doesnt seem to think they re going to be to much of an issue as it was built to the highest standard of TUV.

The bar fits D3/4 AND RRS

I'm sure I'd seen that posted on here somewhere DB, but can't find it with a quick search.

Have to say I'm not a big fan, I prefer the existing ARB/ECB versions for looks. And probably protection too. There is a more elegant solution for those wanting a winch bar only too.

Good on them for giving it a go though!

I like the Opposite Lock option better, just personal preference.

Well I guess now all the D3/4/RRS guys can have a front plow too... Though this looks more grader blade than ripper...

This has been posted up before - not a fan - but good luck if the guy can get Australian certification as it gives us another option to consider.

As the recognised bar options are around $2000 fitted, this would need to be a lot cheaper as it is just a bumper with a winch mount not a full bar.

Cheers

The first pic looks good, but with the other bar I am not so sure.

I't kind of looks like it has tractor weights on the front

I think it looks OK.

But no chance of selling it here, unless its approved for ADR..... Unless its used off road only that is...

It looks like they have just cut the uprights off an existing bar....

If you just want a winch then there are neater more discreet options, if you want a protection bar then this is not it. I don't get it.

a option like it could be of interest to allow a bigger winch I suppose. It would allow easy to almost too easy removal of the expensive winch as well?

Roos, deer, camels, donkeys cattle and sheep and similar would get at least a partly softer impact zone than with a full bar:eek: Price looks a bit high for it as well as mentioned by others. I don't really see the point. Almost everywhere we go in Australia where a winch is really needed also have the some or many of the listed warm fuzzy animals which tend to be car stoppers if hit at high speeds with out a steel bar.
