I had a play with it last night and set it up in various lengths / configurations. Very well made and seems to do everything that they say it will on their web-site. Now just have to see if it will improve my fishing techniques ..............

Have looked at them over the past couple of years at various boat and 4wd shows, seem to have a very stiff action. It would be great to hear how they perform in use.
I carried, particularly while living in Cairns, a telescopic collapsible rod in my work vehicle. Used it frequently fishing for Barra etc when travelling. Major problem was getting it to collapse after use.
I recently outlaid a substantial sum of $'s purchasing a Simrad NSS8, Gold Chart, Fuel flow monitoring, and Structure Scan. Now have to get some decent weather to get the boat out.

Bought a Shimano Stradic 1000 and a Daiwa Freams 4000 reels today to use with the Multi Rod. Should give a bit of flexibility with different types of fishing in our travels. Running braid on both (6 pound & 20 pound respectively).

The rod feels good with either reel set up and at different rod lengths.

Have been looking round at a couple of different tackle shops over the past week or so. Originally thought I'd get a good deal at Compleat Angler almost next door to the office in Nedlands - but waaaaaayyyy too expensive in there, and not very helpful. Was very happy with the service at BCF in Cockburn today - and they had a few good prices as some of their gear (including the Daiwa reel) were on special. The Shimano was nearly $30 cheaper than the same reel at Compleat Angler - and it was not on special.

Lets hope you catch a few Brian.
In the past I have found The Complete Angler to be more than competitive and helpfull compared to BCF.Normally use the Gosnells store, that one you speak of with the lift,I have had similar experiences.

How's the rod going mate. I hought the Ironman rod and reels as a pack. All looks well made...just never used it. I am doing a Cape trip next year and it should come in handy. I will try it before then.
