My 2008 Puma 130 has a leak from the low-pressure aircon pipe from the compressor, at the crimped joint where the rigid pipe is mated to the flexible hose. This is the larger of the two pipes which comes off the compressor and disappears behind the engine as it heads toward the evaporator.
The repairer who located the leak last summer gave the joint a squeeze with his crimping tool, but it has not lasted and the a/c again has no charge, so the pipe / hose will have to be replaced.
Has anyone here removed one of these pipes, or alternatively removed the engine or head from one of these vehicles and seen where this hose goes? I'm wondering if there is a coupler at the firewall enabling the hose to be replaced from within the engine bay, or is the hose continuous into the interior of the vehicle and will need to dismantle the dash to replace it? Would be handy to know so I can have an idea how long the job is likely to take before starting on it. Want to get this working before summer hits.
