I see that every time I go to my matey's place at the top of Sandels Rd. It could of course be a scaled down version of the Tyne Bridge ;)

Proud to hear Moruya mentioned, I live on the opposite bank of the river from the Harbour Bridge Quarry (Zieglers Quarry). Moruya granite was first noticed by Bradfield in the Bank of NSW in Martin Place and was traced back to Louttits quarry on my side of the river about 200 metres from my front door.
Also the columns of the GPO building in Martin Place came from this same quarry (Louttits), Zieglers monumental quarry on the opposite bank was chosen because of it's better anchorage, one of Moruya's claims to fame, has many others, regards Frank.

The Sydney harbor bridge is truly an icon of being Australian. A tribute to fine engineering and dedicated skilled tradesmen. Nothing will be built in the future to rival the workmanship demonstrated in this structure. Like the Forth bridge in Scotland, it is known as "the bridge" not the "rail bridge". There is a modern "road" bridge next to it that barely rates a mention. The same can be said for the original iron bridge over the Murray at Moama/Echuca. Well over 100 years old and still in use. Love the old school.
