Time to ask for help...
My TD4 has been rather strange today starting with while cruising on the highway the engine was surging. Going up & down approx 250 rpm on the tacho.
About 20 mins later there was what looked like smoke came through the drivers side air vent that was odorless so I'm thinking that was vapor from the ac compressor or something as there was no smell under the bonnet, nothing on fire which was my first though.
Then, it sounds like the thermo fan is spinning at light speed when the engine is under load between 2500 & 3000 rpm. However no loss of power.
Now the engine light is on.
The engine sounds normal & all fluids are A OK.
I bought a hawkeye last week so hopefully it turns up soon.
Any assistance would be great!
