Hi All.

Some 18 months ago, whilst browsing this forum, I was inspired by the Blue Series 2 V8 UTE pic as part of Slunnie's signature to build this truck. It is far from complete but I think the resemblance is apparent. Thanks Slunnie! :)

Your sentiments seems popular. Even my 20yr old daughter who will be the user/owner has suggested it. :)

This was built on a FC2A chassis and thus 900x16 tyres. Powerplant is Nissan L28 with Hitachi carburettor, ex Safari/Patrol from the late 80's. Hope to get a fuel injection system for it in the future.

Wow, didn't know you could bolt on a series body to a FC chassis. I love the 9.00 tyres... they look great. I'd try it on my 88' when i get it going but i'm scared that the little 2.25d wont turn them... and if it does it might not crawl along anymore.

I absolutely love it! Well done on the build! There is another locally that is coming together also and looking fantastic too. You'll have to tell us more about the build.

Love the tray too!

Hi debruiser, I've fitted 900s on a standard 109" and ran into problems body wise. Had to cut the wheel arches of the front and rear axles, infront of the wheels, and had to fit longer shackles at the rear to prevent tyre/body fouling. A FC gearbox with its lower gearing will enable the little diesel motor to adequately perform in the 88" with 900s, but top speed will be severely reduced. Just my 2c's worth, but I think it will look great.

That is an awesome looking Ute, I'd love to own that one. If I made one of them I reckon a 351 would be nice and a top loader behind it, just my opinion, I'm sure the Nissan motor would get along nicely.
