Hi All,

I have done some searching but haven't found much at all. Has anyone managed to get hold of a decent set of seat covers that can easily be removed when not needed?

With Almond leather I'm keen to get some covers I can use for trips away but then take them off when looking pretty in town.

What have people tried?

Cheers

Dan

It took me a while to find seat covers for mine as no one wants to do airbag compliant covers. I have Black Widow waterproof canvas covers that I've had for over 18 months. No noticeable wear and the leather underneath is pristine.

I got mine through Out of Town 4wd near Newcastle.

Excellent - thanks for that. Did you get front and rear covers, and do you think they'd be relatively easy to put on and take off or are they a leave on jobbie?

For the most part I leave them on as I go off road quite often. They do have a few straps to do up, and the first time I put them on I had to fight as they were a bit tight, but now they're all good.
I have three kids, two in boosters so I got the full set front and back. The back protect the seats against the booster seats very well and don't leave any creases or marks.
I was originally going to get the MSA ones, but as my model has airbags in the seats, Black Widow was the only manufacturer I found.

I got mine from inka-corp. worked very well up the cape, a little slippery due to the material but easy to put on and take off!

I have the factory seat covers with Almond interior & they stay on permanently. Excellent with my 2 young daughters.

Well worth it in my opinion.

I didn't know there were LR ones?

I have the front 5 seats covered. The fronts with inka covers - from eBay uk. The second row have the LR ones - also from eBay uk.

The products appear identical or at least very smilar. Naturally, the LR branded ones are more expensive.

Like the others, I would suggest that they are a good investment, especially with 2 small kids and an active, dirty life.

Hi PKD4, could you put some links towards those ebay buys and also some photos just to see how they fit. Thanks.

An example:

Land Rover Discovery 4 RHD 1st Row Tailored Seat Covers 1+1 STD HR MY07-12BLACK | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Discovery-4-RHD-1st-Row-Tailored-Seat-Covers-1-1-STD-HR-MY07-12BLACK-/400562931016?pt=UK_Car_Interior_Accessories&hash=item5d43694548)

Go to ebay.co.uk; search for landrover seat covers. You will get all types, Inka list different colours, also different seat configurations like 35/30/35 2nd row, 2nd and 3rd row together, DVD headrest, etc. You just need to look through to find the combination that suits your vehicle and what you are after.

Delivery was prompt.

I will try to get a couple of photos tonight to post.

The fit in general is pretty good. The middle seat in the 2nd row is not perfect - and they are the LR genuine ones. They are robust and easy to clean - we spend a lot of time at the beach so it keeps the salt water and sand out of seats, not to mention the jatz cracker crumbs.:( Easy to vacuum too.

My family were very nice to me for my 40th in July and got me some seat covers for the rear bench seats in the D4.

I only wanted them for the rear as this is where our 4 legged family members reside especially after trips to the beach.

I've got Wet Seat covers made from Wetsuit quality neoprene.

Fantastic quality and the rears are tailor fit including custom head rest covers.

You can choose from a few colours and then different stitching colours to compliment.

I'm a fan of black interiors so went plain black to
Match in with the factory seats...

For the front, going 2" thick lambs wool... I must be getting old... :)

But they do make front wet seat covers...

"Wet Seat" covers are terrific.
My D4 is known to have plenty of mud in it from Harvey Trips.....works very well.
