My daughter has just had a little boy, so I was wondering has anyone seen a child's/baby's safety seat mounted in the rear of a 90? I can't see where the anchorage points would be.
Cheers, Pickles.

You will need to get one installed. The cost varies from 3-400 for a floor mounted approved point to 1200-1500 to have them engineered into the back of the seat like a disco or prado. I have a 110 with the horizontal crab bar but that may not work in a 90. have a look in good oil there is a sticky thread on the subject.

I saw one at the Expo on Sunday. The strap went over the top of the seat & down to where the cargo tie down point is. I couldn't see if it attached to the standard point or change to a proper mount.

Not Yet!!
Ordered 5th June, probably about another 6 weeks!!
I think it's been manufactured, & probably about to be put on the boat....The Dealer said he would have some info this week, so I'll be ringing him tomorrow.

Maybe pickles you could check with Vic Roads and see if it would be cheaper to get something like this done before rego, as in QLD their system is easier for mods, whereas NSW is more expensive, the puma 110 owner I spoke with had the 3 installed in the back of the seat like carl but he had to get an Engineer report so it cost around 1500 from memory(about 500 for the eng report)
If you can get the Mods done before the dealer rego's the 90 you may not need an eng report;), like the GVM upgrade several suspension places do for toymota cruisers. Check with a few places.

Hey Carl,

Do you have any pics of the points plus any details (who/how)? I'm trying to get this sorted now and everywhere I turn people are saying it can't be done.

Cheers,
Simon.

I am sorry. I forgot to post some pictures. I got this done by Mobility Modification Services in Garbutt, Townsville. The guy's name is Nick. He does mods to buses and taxis etc. It only took him about an hours work. I took the seats out. The engineer had a look after Nick pulled the back off. Nick welded the attachment points and recovered seat and I put them back in the car. $800 later I have a nice little plaque. The engineer pockets most of the dough I think. Still, it was cheaper than a new car and it gives me some flexibility in pick my Bub up from childcare etc. Hopefully when she is older we can go on some trips. I am hoping one of my girls is a tomboy.

Their a nice fit, :D
The NSW 110 puma I saw was at mulgo getting a roof rack fitted, and from memory the bolts where about 300mm ,1 foot higher in the middle of the seat back. He said it had a similar process to Carl and had a bar welded horizontal across the middle of the seats back frame then the covers refitted and the bolt points attached. He had taken delivery and was fitting a full length roof rack at Daniels workshop , I was getting an ex-box. Wish I had more details, sorry.
