Hi,
I was wondering could someone with rave possibly copy me the section regarding the auto stall test? I simply cannot find it and I want to check the auto in my disco that Ive just bought here in NZ before I go about spending some money on it.
At what figure should she stop at?
Thanks,
Hugh

Just had a look in Rave, but can't see anything about stall test. Road test procedure is speeds/pressures etc.

Thanks Steve,
Thats what I thought but I found reference to rave and the stall test on another forum. I was viewing rave on a mac and wasnt sure if i was checking all sections.

With my th400 auto one easy indicator test is to sit at idle release brake and WOT it, The revs should jump to the preset stall speed ie 3600rpm in my case

FWIW, I know with my D1, when I had the torque converter rebuilt after the lockup clutch failed, they did a bit of toughening up of the internals and one of the side effects was that it dropped that "WOT jump RPM" to a few hundred rpm below the 1800 or so that it needed to get on boost properly.
PITA when pulling out from intersections while towing.
