missus picked up her disco this afternoon and i got chauffeured around this evening...

talk about a trip down memory lane...

runs as sweet as to boot... looks like it will be a nice score for the money...

after 10 years filling her 990cc daihatsu sirion, she nearly fainted at the pump when she saw it took $105 worth of diesel

the expression was gold...

Tell her she can come and fill the 4x450 litre tanks on my jigger; a bit like banging her head on a wall, it'll feel good to fill the Disco. ;)

insured and ready for action.

btw maximum agreed value thru suncorp was $5070 and only cost $80 a year more than the coke can on wheels insured for $3000.

so the world is a happy place..

for now :D

She won't need to fill it up again for another 750 km at least. The pump shock will fade until next time.

The real test is: will she let you drive it?

I'm lucky. I get to do all the driving. The odd time SWMBO wants to drive I just refuse to get in until she leaves the drivers seat.

Does not happen very often though, as she is happy for me to do the driving.

I am happy to let her drive home, if we have been to a party.

Another Disco finds its way into caring hands, and all is right with the world once more :D
I don't let anyone else drive mine.
Mum drives it like a sports car, something always manages to break when Dad drives it, and I'm still a little iffy about the Girlfriend driving with it after her Tokyo Drift antics last time....
She's driving part the way to Glenreagh so I'd better suck it up!

well it made it to laidley heights and lake whatever it is called and back with nary an issue.

the grand kiddies seemed to enjoy having more room as well as the adults.

i just kept saying imagine how much nicer a rangie would have been

she doesn't go much on rangies and i got the usual look......

the air in my last disco must have been dodgy cause the air in this one was much better than i remember them being :D

There is one thing I have to say about Disco's is their aircon works fantastic.

Both my D1 and D2 are cold as on a hot day.
