Its all about traction rather than torque. Even if it was about torque, it would also have as much to do with gearing as with engine torque. Still nice to see the defender come out on top.

its probably because that dodge had a Cummings engine in it.....if it had been a Cummins it might have been different.....sheesh.....get it right..............

Unless its got lockers or a TC, it's 2WD drive anyway....just on different axles....

One of my Land Rover friends (who won a couple of Guernseys at Cooma in 2008) and visits here occasionally has a new Dodge Ram with the Cummins turbo and auto and it is VERY impressive - you would not know it was a diesel so for fun he drives his VM powered RRC just to remind himself!
