While drinking wisdom from the wells of the Ozzie gurus, I cam across a post, also Australian, about Freelander 2. An interesting read indeed!

I am researching the Defender as a possible purchase but then read a bit on Freelanders and was surprised. What South African CAR magazine wrote of the FL2 in Oct 2013 issue, contradicts what actual owners say. Perhaps time to switch magazines? CAR really gave it a bashing and their reporting seems vindictive and almost slanderous.
And I also saw an old PUP parked, pay close attention to what a sage had inscribed onto its side, it says "The Spirit of Freedom."
