Hi all,
I have now owned our D2 for a couple of weeks now and thought it was timethat I shared some of the details with you.
The vehicle we bought is a 2000MY auto (wanted a manual) with ACE and SLS,it has been fitted with a bulbar, winch, dual battery system, spotlights and arear camp light - I think that's about it. At the moment it has SUVtyres, will probably go for AT tread when the time comes. I think I shouldget myself a radio as the first piece of additional equipment, after that I cansee 50mm lift, snorkel, rock sliders instead of the side steps that it has atthe moment, maybe an engine remap (haven’t really put any thought into that yet).In the meantime I will be doing a few minor low cost mods myself; raise oilbreathers, the option B shuttle valve fix, replace factory CD player with MP3player already owned, make something to actuate the CDL lever frominside/outside the vehicle. The previous owners mechanic filled the coolingsystem with the green stuff so will be changing that ASAP (I hear that it isimportant not to mix).
I haven’t done any specific searches yet, but I am thinking of supplying thefactory accessories circuit for the vehicle from the non-main battery thecontrol voltage will still come from the main battery via the ignition switch;does anyone have thoughts on this idea?
I haven’t concluded (or even searched) but I think the climate control, temperaturecontrol loop is overshooting. But it could be the partner rapidly changing the setpoint creating this instability in control.
