I know not to everyone's taste but need something to sop the UV killing the winch rope so came up with this.

Just unclips when I need to use the winch :)

Synthetic ropes are worse than steel! Basically all synthetic winch ropes will be affected by UV.


Great work OP, may also be a slight reduction in theft risk, keeping it out of sight (not that winch ropes get stolen...)

The bar came from the UK when we shipped the Landie the bar sort of found its way into the container ;)
The rope has changed colour a lot due to UV so not sure what it does to the strength ;)
