Anyone running 255/85/16?

Hi all,

As the title suggests, is anyone currently or in the past ran with 255/85/16 on their disco 1?

What was your experience? What rims and offset did you have? What lift or guard chop did you have?

Hi Sven,

Cant help you with 255/85/16 but have just fitted 235/85/16 m/t on standard alloys with a 2" suspension lift. I ended up needing to do the camel cut, adjust the steering stops and even trim the plastic sill guard thingy at the front a little to stop scrubbing. LRA (les richmond automotive) website has all the info you need on mods required for tyre sizes etc. From what I can gather you are looking at body lift (2") offset wheels and flares....but that allows you to go to about 35" tyres from memory.......basically drop to 235/85/16 it is a lot cheaper and less work.
