G'day my first post here.. I own a 98 110 cab chassis but due to the latest arrival to the family there are four of us and we cannot fit!! Was wondering thoughts if a 130 double cab on my existing chassis would be a possibility or find an old wagon and make it into a duel cab ute and drop it on my chassis? I don't mind putting in some time and effort... Or weather I'm waisting my time and should swap it/sell it for a wagon..any feedback would be appreciative.... 66375

Keep it like that! looks nice. Then go out and buy another one, with more seats of course. That way you can keep your nice truck cab AND get a new play toy too! (that's what I did) :D:D:D:D:D

that's a nice look truck!
from what I understand, you wont fit a 130dual cab body on due to wheelbase, but a dual cab 110 would, though they are not tray back.
in all honesty, If i were you (obviously money dependent) would be to keep that as it is, and get a 110 wagon. or if you only want the one car, buy a 130 dual cab, then swap all your good bits over and sell the 110 truck once the swap is complete.

You could stick a 130 cab on it, then run a shortened tray back. But itll be a bit pricey to find a whole cab, probably better to find a rusty donor and take what you need.

I had the same scenario years ago. I had a series 2 single cab ute and when the three boys got too big to fit four abreast I bought a short wheel base cab and shortened it to about thirty inches behind the B pillar and made a sort of King Cab long before the twin cab 130's came out. The two rear seats sat facing inwards. With some ex Jap sports seats in the front it was a great set up.

Pretty sure I saw you heading up Warby highway (towards Warburton) a few weeks back. I was in my green 110 wagon. Gave a wave. Nice truck.
If I was you I'd keep the truck cab as is and buy a wagon for the family trips.
Best of both worlds. :D

Cheers for all the replies!! That would've been me up Warby hwy, probable taking the bike out!! I think I might keep an eye out for an old county wagon and go from there... No mad rush!! Good to get some ideas, I would love two 110s but the missus is already angry enough with one rover!! Will keep posted with my progress...

If you are limited to keeping 1 vehicle i would be tempted to find some SIII body panels to make it a dual cab and shorten your current tray, paint it the same green and bob's your aunty.
