old land rovers at cooper creek

so i was down at coopers creek the other day and stopped to have a look at the old land rovers by the pub.

quite a collection of other broken stuff too.

does any one know the story of the place?

Not sure what the story with the landies is, but outside the hotel there is a plaque looking over the paddock which shows an old photo of what the paddock looked like with all the old copper mining buildings there and gives a bit of history about the place.

will stop and have a look at the plaque next time.

is the pub ever open?

Not sure about the pub.
Would be good if it does open, it looks like a really nice building.
Although a quick look on google says its been a private residence since 2007.
