I was reminded of this when looking at PCB's post; I asked the question when originally looking at 130s prior to buying, but got no response on the subject.
Has anyone installed a latch or other arrangement to enable the rear seats to be folded down without having to unbolt the brackets? I'd like to turn the void under the rear seats into useable storage space, but need to come up with a solution to enable the seats to be folded down easily, would prefer not to re-invent the wheel if others have already done it.

Yes - have done this on my 130DC. Its very easy and very effective.

Made up a tab that bolts onto the outside of the seat where the existing mount is - was just a small bit of flat with half a chain link welded to it. Then made a L shaped bracket that bolts to the rear of the cabin where the original bracket mounted to - was made out of light gauge spring steel with a slot cut out of it to go over the chain link. Originally had a lynch pin to lock in place but this is redundant - the spring steel stays put. Just have to pull the spring steel away from the link and fold forwards.

And would be stronger than the original fittings and makes a lot of extra storage space available. Has worked very well over 9 yrs and 260k.

Pics ? And would it legally require engineering?
