Does anyone have any idea of service costs for a TDCI 2009 120k service?
I have been quoted $630 at a service place on the Gold Coast, not tried LR yet but thought that was a bit high for oils and filters, do not think he was going to do much more.
Also anyone got any idea what is required in the 120k service? Is it a big one?
I just had an oil and filter change when the O'ring went at a cost of $330 so I am not happy about paying another $630 if that is all that is going to get done.
cheers

Are you able to do it yourself? $630 would buy a decent tool kit etc AND you would be sure that it was done properly!...
for details of what's required, simply check the owner's handbook...

I have most of the tools, all I need is a grease gun and I would be set, don't see why I can't do it myself just don't know what needs done, will need to check my hand book.
Agree with it getting done properly, each time it has been to LR they stuff something up.

G day Pat,
I dug out my service schedule for all TDCI from 2007. This shows the 120K serv to be a "B" service which is a little more involved but also shows air filter replacement, if necessary I guess.
Just for a comparison I have my Puma booked in at Ritters next Tuesday for an "A" service at 30K and I have been quoted just over $500.
They carried out my 20K service where I asked them to replace my fuel filter & air filter otherwise it was a straight forward service, that one cost me $731.10, ouch!
Hope this helps with your decision. Regards Chris

A bit late on replying, but I found paint blisters on my roof seam so to make sure it was still covered under the 6 year corrosion warranty I got it serviced at LR in Brisbane, well a bit of a shock, it cost $965!! With 5 hours labour, I think this is a bit steep, there was nothing fixed that was not included in the service so I am at a loss to the expense, I was just told that is what it costs. Once I have the corrosion fixed I wont be going back that is for sure..
Cheers Pat.

Depending on driving conditions, brake fluid change and bearing re pack every 40k could explain higher service cost.. Having said that my 2010 130s first 40k service cost me $1490...did spit the dummy at the dealer..

$140 per hour adds up. I'm pretty sure that's what GC charges. Air filter $75, Oil filter $35, fuel filter?. Oil $100, plus environment levy soon runs away.
Think of the rental on premises, staff and all there entitlements, interest on cars sitting in the show room. Easy to see where $140 comes from. Not saying its good, but that is how it is.
