Well, I've learnt a lot today... The wipers on the 101 have not worked since it arrived.. Another reason I'm glad I chose to freight it home. Anyway, after digging out the wiring diagram and checking that everything was powering up as it should, the problem pointed to a motor fault. With SWIMBO's bulkhead and a spare outside (not including Bojans 90 and 110),I have no shortage of wiper motors.. Easy so I thought. Whip the one off the Ser 2 bulkhead swap them over and off we go! Not so! All fitted up and they work fine but park in the upright position on the vehicle right.

Strip down two reveals the 'park ramp' and crank pin aligned. So, slide the gear down slightly rotate thru 90deg slide back up to the two nylon lugs in the gear and assemble for the second time! Excellent. They now park in the right place!

What they don't do however is stop when the screen does!! They go about 100mm beyond the end of the screen and then return to the screen continuing back to the now correct park position!! Strip down no 3 reveals something I'd seen but ignored on strip down two... The gears are labeled in degrees.. My new motor from the Ser 2 is labeled 120deg, whereas the 101's original is labeled 95deg. The pin is closer to the center so giving the wipers less stroke but a little more power! (I'll be fitting the Cummins sticker later:D). Original gear fitted to new motor and all reassembled and off we go! Now just the washers to sort!!! :)
