8) OK, were back, come on guys, lets get this show on the road, Daves worked hard getting it back up, thanks Dave,
Now I have got a problem, with the car smartaa---,
95 V8 disco auto, erratic idle, sometimes stalls at the lights, has lately chosen to cease functioning whilst enroute at 100 km's or so, have had to bail to the grass totally deadstick twice last night, then whilst still rolling have been able to re-ignite and roll on,its running rich is that stuff and now hunts at the lights requiring throttle and brake to keep it running, if I throw it into N it revs to 2000+ bounces around then dies.
I have cleaned the stepper often, and tried injector cleaner, am running on premium to let the oil companies get over their cash crisis 'cause of Bushwar' so help please 8)

sounds like either a fuel filter or the ignition module.
a little similar to how mine behaved when i had it.
the ignition module was $240 fitted and sorted from memory
the fuel filter is just in front of the drivers side rear wheel and wasnt all that dear.
when mine was behaving like yours is a lot of people also suggested it may be fuel pump and i was very glad it wasnt that as it was about 500 bucks a throw from memory.

I'm back .
I was Harry D before but it was a bit confusing with Harry from the gold coast(I had an old Datsun that did the same thing as your v8and it was the fuel filter).
Good to see the site up and running again thanks Dave.
What did you mean when you said the site got attacked as I don't know much about computers

They broke into the system using a known bug in the software i use to run the system. i was 2 or 3 days away from putting the update in that fixed the security hole but they found it first.
silly thing was they came back after i patched it and had set a trap to track down who they were and where they were coming from.
dont think they will do it again....
just got to restore all this data by hand over the next few weeks.. a man could have been working on his 109...
oh well

I've only just stumbed across AULRO website today (Sunday 18th May 2003) and joined immediately. Judging by some of the comments in this thread I get the impression AULRO existed in the past and has risen to live again. What's the story?
I don't own a Land Rover but I'm hoping to learn from others before I buy.

Thank you for the welcome Pedro, I appreciate that. I've seen some reasonable websites in the few years I've been on the internet, where AULRO must be one of the best I've had the pleasure to visit. Well done Incisor, it's a credit to you old chap. Pedro, I shall endeavour to continue the good standard you've set in asking silly questions.
Tally ho,
Colonel

Yeah, yeah...
AN old Falcon Ute I once owned had the floor pan so rusted out, I could have worked it"Flinstones" style.
Could have except that it went so bloody fast by itself I didn't need to :!:
And it wasn't even a V8 style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif
(on the other hand, it wasn't a diesel either style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif )
