Hi all, are in the middle of setting up the air suspension on my isuzu 130, and was wondering what the stock length of the front bump stops are? Mine has aftermarket red poly bump stops that are 82mm long from the mounting tab.

Is this longer than the standard isuzu bump stops?

Cheers,

Andrew

The bump stops are just the standard rover item. They are approximately:
100mm long x 60mm wide at the base, 40mm wide at the bottom x 45mm high.

What is different with the front bump stop on Isuzu powered 110's is the mounting bracket welded to the chassis was modified to lower it by approximately 32mm.

Thanks for clearing that up John, I Didn't know it was the mount that gave the "longer" bump stop. So the standard is 45mm plus the extra 32mm gives 77mm, mine is still a bit longer.
Cheers,
Andrew.

Without seeing it, I would presume your taller bump stop, will compress further than a stock rover bump stop. So don't worry about, at what point the axle housing makes contact with the bump stop, but whether any part of the axle assembly is likely to cause a problem by colliding with the engine during a big hit when the bump stop is compressed.

Edit: Here is a pic of the mod to the front left bump stop (by JRA) on my 120.
