The reverse lights on my S3 aren't working. I am quite handy with electrical systems, and I have the wiring diagram from the manual (The one available from the downloads section), however it doesn't appear to have the reverse lights on it.

Can anyone shed some light on this issue, or possible problems with the reverse lights?

You know I finally dig out the problem here the other day.

The wire to the reverse light wasn't connected to the reverse gear selector, and the power wans't connected to it.

Funny how it takes you forever to get to some jobs style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

Maybe I was, maybe I wasn't

The electrics are a little messy, but not too bad to follow, behind the dashboard is a maze though style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif

8O know that problem, whilst trying to track the wiring for the headlights so as to be able to splice in the spotlights, was VERY confusing tracing colors that have faded over time ,red looks like pink, pink looks like white, ARGGGHHHHHHH

perseverance paid off , and i got it sorted in the end

Faded wires can be fun, fortunately mine aren't as old as yours, so they haven't the time to get faded style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

The series 3 rev light was an accessory in the UK and other markets but was mandatory in Aust for or early ADR's including closed crank shaft ventilation, the reverse light switch is the same as the pedal-box top mounted stop lamp switch and don't like a lot of water, but can be removed and cleaned if not operating, My landy is 25 years younger than me so does that make me an old -fart ? :?
