I will preface this post first by thanking Grey_Ghost(Tom) for helping my son with accommodation. A while ago I asked if any one close to Melb could host our caravan for my son to stay for two weeks, as he has uni placement in Melb.

Grey_Ghost put up his hand, also offering full use of a bathroom in his house, so my caravan is now there. Until this encounter we had never met.
Any how to the point of the post title.
After setting up the caravan we adjourned to Toms family room where we all enjoyed a chat and we had a few drinks. I noticed an unusual wedge holding the lounge room sliding door closed.
He told me to take a peek inside and this is what I was greeted with.
Half a series in bits.

In closing I would like to thank Tom and his SWMBO, both lovely people, a great night had by all.
I know I have said this numerous times before, but I will say it again, it is people like this that makes this forum such a great place.

I thought we'd all got a room full of land rover bits, mine's not quite so tidy as that one though :D

I wish. I can't even have a yard full of bits, and we have plenty of space. Unfortunately, SWMBO does not share my passion.

Good to see he has a Telescope at the window so he can spot more landy parts in the distance

Brilliant!
I love how the mattress off the folding bed is off and under the panels
And using a telescope to check the finish is being very very meticulous!!
I can see it now, when the minister for war and fianance comes home the first time to see that... I was driving it near the window dear when it exploded and luckily most landed inside :angel:
I assume the chassis and motor arent there as theyre in the dishwasher??:D
Brilliant!!

The only worrying thing is the stack of Britpart boxes :o .

Brilliant!!
Well, the air cleaner is there just in front of the bonnet, so I assume a wider angle lens might have got the engine and chassis into the shot:D.

Yes, been in that room myself. Tom's little stash of freshly restored and painted parts is awesome.:). With the weather improving I'm sure he is keen to get the chassis finished so he can start screwing bits back on it.
Glad you had an offer regarding the van. I would have myself, but I simply don't have any room for one in my driveway. I already park 2 cars on the street and one on the neighbours driveway...

Hi All,
SWMBO calls it the lounge room - I myself call it my rerfurbished parts storage area... :wasntme:
I still have a way to go before I start removing parts from this room and adding them back onto the car, but I'm getting there...
The britpart boxes contain 6 x seats (bases/backs) as my Landy didn't have any!
From memory the room contains:
Floor Panels
5 x Wheels
4 x Drums
2 x Front Guards
Bonnet
Radiator
Radiator panel
Tail Gate Bottom
Tail Gate Top
Door bottoms + Door Tops
Front Dumper Bar
Air Cleaner
Seats
Steering Wheel
Air Vents + Winders + Mesh Covers
Transmission Cover
Seat Box, Lid, Set Rails
Rear bumper handles
Hand Throttle
Sump
I'm sure I will find more hidden treasures when I get in there to re-build the car...
So far the only thing that I have used the dish washer for have been the fuel pump bowl (glass), and the rear number plate light (glass)... I don't want to get into too much trouble with SWMBO.. :wasntme:
