I have had a low water sensor in my 300TDI for a while now and it works well . It is fitted to the radiator opposite the top hose .
I have just bought a 110 300TDI , and will fit one to it also .
Question is...where is the best place to fit the sensor ?
I am hoping to use a copper radiator and was going to use the same location But I was told the newer plastic radiators are cheaper , which raised the question of where to fit it . Any opinions from those more learned would be much appreciated , Thanks .

If it is a Engine Saver brand, David makes a specific kit for the 300tdi in which the sensor replaces the plug at the thermostat housing.

Engine Saver Land Rover Page (http://www.enginesaver.com.au/landy1.htm)

Years ago I fitted the sensor that used the top radiator hose but I don't know if he has that option any more.

He is a friendly person to deal with and ready to answer any question over the phone.

mines fitted in the radiator expansion/overflow bottle as i believe its the highest point, mine is an aqualert, been there for the last 5 years and works well, its the white wire with the red female plug
