Does anyone know of a good place to purchase some decent seats for the front of a Defender?
I have found the Scheel-Mann seats online but the website seems waaay over priced so figure the seats are also
Any suggestions?

I got some Sheelmann ones from a place in Germany. By the time I got them here (shipping, import duties etc) they ended up being about 3500 the pair, including all the brackets and the heated options with the nice switches etc.
My engineer was very happy with the results and noted that they were a landrover option at one stage so do not require a mod plate - this will save you up to a grand.
You can also use Liberty seats, but you will have to make up the brackets to allow you to access the battery and you will have to get them engineered. When I looked at that it was putting me close to Sheelmann territory in terms of $$$ so I bit the bullet and got the nice ones :D
FWIW I don't think that the landrovertuning prices are that overpriced for the seats, when you consider import duties. Give them a call and discuss - you have to speak German at the store I got mine from!

you could buy my Defender and swap out the seats (and the new Ashcroft R380
for yours ), They are "Recaro Specialist M " worth about $4500 fantastic seats and a lot better than the professional ISRI truck seats in the new Iveco.
you could then resell our Defender for the same $$ and not be out of pocket.

I had the original seats re-upholstered for $650 and they are great.
I also had pump up lumbar support put in.
I can get to both cavities under the seats.
Worth comparing the prices of new seats against re-upholstering.
