3 amigos

hi folks I have a 1998 series 1 I have been told because I have the older style door handels on the outside .how ever I have the 3 amigos up on the dash I have been trying to purchase a cheaper type diagnostic unit but they all tell me there isn't one for a series 1 only for series two can any one please help I know the abs is working cause a roo tested it the other morning but I need to be able to clear the code and light also detect if there is another problem regards wayne by the way its a v8 don't know if theres a difference

I'm not aware that a series 1 disco can have the 3 amigo's problem, is it a 3.9 or 4ltr, door handles recessed or protruding ?

hi it has recessed handles and 3.9 v8 but definatley has abs and the abs light is on thanx wayne

Ok so its a faux amigo's, search the site and i'm sure you'll find some good info to help.

you only have 1 amigo with a d1, its part of owning an early not 'in vogue' model...however if you were to own a d2, then you could have more amigos...up to 3 is the usual count :p:wasntme:

the d1 antilock lamp has many causes, i suggest you have a search on this site,
