Rover 3.9 l injected

Anyone know which automatics and manual transmissions bolt straight on the back of these ? Ive got a 77 RR with series 1 disco motor in it.. Looking to go to 5 speed or auto .. Thanks 67102

LT95, LT85, LT77, R380, Torqueflite 727, ZF 4HP22/24.

The LT85, LT77 and R380 are 5 speed manual.

The Torqueflite is a three speed auto.

The ZF is a 4 speed auto.

Any one know how many litres of oil the 3.9 l takes ? And what temp the water and oil should run around ? Cheers

Most Rangie Classics have 82C opening thermostats fitted so would run at about 85-88C cant tell you about engine oil temp,as most RR's don't have oil temp gauges,Auto Disco 1's have a transmission temp warning light in the dash a little red gear wheel in upper left side.

Interesting . Thanks .. So does anyone know what a series 1 disco oil temp should be and water ? Mine oil if over 140 c !!
