Just after I put a white shirt on today mum came flying back up the driveway and handed me the face of the AC clutch she picked up off the road (they'd just left home).

So off she went in my car... And I got to pull it apart.

The M6 bolt has rattled out and the front of the clutch has fallen out of the pulley. It appears to luckily have missed all the fan blades and anything else in the way upon its exit.

My question is, can she drive it without the clutch plate on there, obviously the AC won't work, but is the circlip enough to hold the pulley on as an idler.

Cheers
Will

If the cir clip is in place there is no reason why you cant drive it.
Make sure you turn your AC off......or the coil will be energised continuously trying to draw that clutch in.

Glad to know my thoughts were right! Thanks
