It might just be my ISP, but I have found that AULRO seems to have been a bit slow recently.
I don't know the reason, but is anyone else finding this, or am I just being pedantic?
PS, i am on ADSL (although it is only bigpond)

it may be slow from time to time as it is only sitting on a 512k link
and you buggers are on adsl upto 1.5mb
so it will be slow style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif
plus there has been a sendmail dos going on for nearly 2 weeks... but it is slowly dying out.

The site is almost as slow as a Land Rover in real life! Yesterday it didn't work at all (for me anyway).

i only get to dial into the net with a modem when i am home so speed is not a must have item for me,
tho it always works fine on the local lan at work style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif

8) sorry dave, i've gotta say i've been dissapointed about loading times too. but where was it this morning? i couldn't find it at all.
and jojo, not all land rovers are slow! discos rock, and if they're travelling west they speed up the earths rotation. thats why i only go north or south during summer!
i thought it was funny!

Well, Harry, my Disco certainly is no rocket  By the way, during the summer it might prove useful to speed eastward to slow down rotation speed and give us advantage of an extra summer day style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

I only run dial up at home now, and this site load's slower than most other's I look at.
But I have never seen it as a problem.
ADSL at the old job was the same load rate.
Quicker than at home but just a bit slower than most other site's.

:? 8O style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif thank heaven for that!! I was going to take my confuser in to get repaired for being so sllllooooooooooowwwww, but seems everyone else is having same probs! I'm no expert .but maybe if some older topics where put in some sort of archive (or just deleted!) it mite free something up a little? I also wonder if the " quote on quote on quote" episode didn't jam things up a little :? As for speed of site loading ,I can go and make a cuppa and drink it b4 the page loads, which is why I haven't been on lately, as very FRUSTRATING!!!!! but I'll get over it!

Mine is loading normally, still a bit slower than some of the other site's but Iam used to it.
Might be your server to Ferno.

upgrades are happening on the uplink to this system in the next 24hrs so that may solve some of your problems, but i doubt it will solve them all, they are replacing a cisco router that is using to much cpu.
check your internet settings, in particular your modems maximum speed setting, and make sure it is set no higher than 57600 if it is a 56k modem or no higher than 38400 if it is a v34 modem.
PM me if you need directions

well you have me
i been getting 5 mates to send me traceroutes every hour from 6pm thru 11pm all week and only one is seeing big delays and he is using hypermax internet the others see a little packet loss but that isnt unusual seeing many isp's drop a lot of unneccessary traffic that could appear to have been caused by virus's etc
i have tried dialing in thru telstra dialups and optus dial ups myself and have seen no great delays either.
adsl connects i would expect to see slowness but not on dialup and there is certainly bugger all load on the server so it aint that either.

I wouldn't panic about it too much. It has improved recently.
I guess when you look at it, it is a Land Rover, it wasn't built for speed

I think we are all spoilt with what we now have.
Have a look back 15 years and see what was possible 8O
