I have a pair of Fyrlyt spots which we picked up for a bargain at a school fete of all places.
As a pair they draw 300w or approx 25amps @12V. There are several 'pre-made' wiring looms available, Piranha, Light Force, Narva and possibly others which all say are 30 Amp fused but having just looked at the Light Force harness video, they say it's limited to a 9 amp current draw. Has anyone used one of these harnesses for a large load draw such as the Fyrlyts or would it be better for me to rig up one of my own (my previous attempts work well but are messy):(.
Secondly, once fitted, is there a relay or switch which would allow me to switch from the possum lights to the spot lights so that on high beam I have an either/or setup rather than everything on at once?
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Hi Paul,

Best thing I could suggest, is to look up the Fyrlyt website, and send them a message direct.

The guys there are more than helpful, and will ensure you get the right stuff to make those babies shine bright. ;)

Rather than a change-over system, the globes for the possum lights could be removed. They aren't legally required because LR weren't made to fix the alignment and there's no legal requirement to be able to flash high beam although some people like to be able to do it. The bi-xenons obviously satisfy all high-beam legal requirments.
