Hello, I've got the opportunity to buy a 1983 Series III Stage 1, 3.9d, 3 door wagon. The vehicele is in 85%+ origional condition (144,000 Ks), its stock standard with no modifications. Apparently its been garaged for 8 years and has only been used to take his daughter to pony club (towing a horse float). The owner is also a car dealer and wants $10,900 for it. Im thinking more $8,500.

If any one out there has an Idea what its worth I'd like to know.

$10900 sounds a bit rich,

Being a car sale's man he will be going for as much as he can.

Knock him down a few grand

Concidering they sold for about $17,500 back in 83 :? It has been sitting in the car yard for more than 6 months now (like many of his cars) he is pretty optimistic. Considering a good 94-95 defender ute goes for $14000. A 110 county 84-85 for example with power steering, coils and disc brakes are a better vehicle  :?: for about the same $, the problem is finding one in fair condition. Here in SE Qld most landies are brought for the beach, and corrosion has taken its toll on the older landies (and newer ones). This stage 1 hasent even had a wiff of salt air style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif that I know of.
