Assistance required please

After getting thru a long list of other jobs, I would now like to improve my 97 v8 auto by advancing the timing to 10. I read several threads stating the benefits.
As it has been a very long time since I,ve done it and no longer own a timing light, is there anyone around the Belmont North area that could help with this and check things over. I am unsure of any side affects to look out for.

As there have been no replies, I suggest you go and buy a timing light. My V8 auto runs fine on petrol at 10 degrees and even better on LPG.

Yep, I think I will, found some today for as low as $30. A lot cheaper then last time looked at super cheap . The auto sparky at Belmont is adding my thermo fan over ride switch for up the beach today, he said he will do it for while he,s under the bonnet.
