There's not too many in my street, just the 8 1/2 Range Rovers at my house & a D4 a few houses down the road.
But for a town of 827 people (2006 census) and about 8 streets there's an awful lot of Land Rovers.

These are cars on the road (registered) that I know of:
130 x1
D1 x2
D2 x1
D4 x1
RRC x2
Sport x2
LM/L322 x2
FL2 x1
LP/P38 x2

There's also a couple of 110s & D3/4s that I see regularly but I don't know if they just pass through town a bit or if they're residents.

Just Monty.

There's loads of houses in my street but he doesn't even have a Disco or a Rangie for company. I think he talks to the Mini Cooper sometimes and he loves having a natter with the Austin Healey but all the other cars speak German, Japanese or a weird American dialect that he doesn't seem to enjoy....so he just keeps a lookout, ready for anyone to get stuck.

I'd love for someone with a Defender to come and live next door...and park right next to Monty and keep him company.

30-odd houses in our street.
My RRS, next door has a D4 & an FL2, there's another RRS about 1/2 way up and a Vogue at the other end.
Holy crap, no series or defenders of any description! Not even a D1 or 2.
I do live about 500m from Toorak so that probably explains it :)

Graeme
22nd October 2013, 06:02 PM
Only my D4 and my unreg RRC which is not surprising as there's no other house in the "street". There's a D2 in the village but no other LRs nearby.

In my street?

well there are 4 houses...

at mine there are 7 landys
up the street is another AULRO member who has about 5 landys

and around the corner is another series.

and those 13 or so are probably 90% of those owned in the area!!

Well, mine is the only house in my street (only about 18km long), and there are 2-7 here, depending how many parts constitutes a "landy". Two registered, two more or less complete but far from going, two chassis plus a few extra bits, one converted to a farm trailer.

Do you live in a street?

A street is a paved public thoroughfare in a built environment.
Must be a big house.

Only one. * Sniff *

But my neighbour across the road has a Saracen armoured car in the carport and, when I was borrowing a ladder, I happened to notice that he had a 25pdr in the shed. That has to count for something.

I think there are 30 homes in our street, only 2 with Solihull's finest, my neighbour has a 130 and it could have been a Sallyman's, it was purchased from Qld, I have 9 Series & our 110, so we 11 in total, cheers Dennis:angel:

There was a D1 a couple of years ago, but that was a dumped stolen vehicle.

Do you live in a street?

.

street: 1 b loosely. A road, a way, a path (SOED)

Using the word loosely, as could be implied in the thread title, yes.

You lot are doing better than me and I am living in the UK where a Land Rover is not exactly uncommon while a Landcruiser is a rarity. I counted 3 110 and a 90, one Freelander. No Range Rover or Discovery. Other 4x4 are all dual cab a new shape Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi and Nissan x2. This out of about 100 houses.

Dobby
26th October 2013, 09:23 AM
There's only one in my street ( a series three) and only another three in the whole town of 10,000 people, one immaculate 1998 defender and two Disco 4's. There's a zillion Land Cruisers and Patrols running around however.

A street is a paved public thoroughfare in a built environment. If we stuck to that definition we would be discounting a hell of a lot of "dirt" streets in Aus

Well there is a D1 a few houses up but I haven't seen anything else. So, as far as I know there are currently 4 on our street, soon to be 5 as there may very well be a 4th RRC at our place soon.

From what I've seen around town that means we have probably doubled the RRC population in a town with a population of 70,000..... Oops.

John,

You could hardly call the track/road to your house a "street":D

The only Land Rovers recently on my street are my ex-mod Defender and my D3. There used to be a D1 XD few houses down (was the XD North America only or did other markets get them too?). And just noticed a D2 two streets away.

Only 2.7 that I know of. Our p38, 93 RR, and the .7, a 94 lse.

Apparently there's a landrover wreckers just out of bendigo on our road, but haven't been able to track him down.

There's a nice 79 rangie getting around this side of town for sale though.

Varies.

My Disco and Defender,
Sometimes a D3 parks across the road. Sometimes a 110 Ute parks at the end of the road.... and there's a Freelander around the corner.

That's where I am now - in the house be bought I don't know but there is a Nissan Patrol in the big arse house next door....
