Over the time of owning my p38 I have also managed to "accumulate" 12 different scale models of the p38 ranging from smaller than the "matchbox" sized car to a pewter cast model and of course to the big Auto Art 1/18.
I'm curious if anyone else has a large p38 model collection?

Good news is they don't drip oil, require servicing or consume any petrol :D. And yes, probably the professional help is warranted - for owning a p38

A little bit of a tenuous link, but related to being sadly affected by P38's. I was watching Iron Man 3 the other day and became rather excited to see a P38 delivering the baddy (the Mandarin) to a mansion. You gotta see the movie to understand what I'm talking about. Its a no brainer kinda movie. You go along for the ride.
I came to the conclusion there would have to be a car chase soon, and the P38 would surely get blown up. Alas no. It lived to fight another day. Yippee. Not sure why they would pick a P38 for an evil dictator (actually Ben Kingsley acting an an actor, acting as an evil dictator).
Are they gaining cult status (I know they already have in our minds)?

please excuse bad phone photo
in process of moving so still have an unpacked box and not including the unmade models as well as the ones the kids have around to play with (when they visit they know not to touch uncle John's cars)
Once the shed/man cave is in I have to get an old glass shop counter to stuff like this in.
yes its a sickness.

It's funny you should mention the appearance in movies. I think the majority of British police serials seem to have the bad guy (usually living in a country estate) driving a p38. They also appear in ads and on labels from time to time. Not sure what brand it was but the green heavy duty car wash had the p38 on the label. I'm sure you'll probably see lots in the latest Dianna movie as well :p.

Mine live in an old glass fronted book case in the entrance hall. I am forever under pressure to get rid of the book case, let alone the p38's :(
