Well blokes, wish it luck - the Rangy's going in for it's roadworthy in the morning...

Just spent a frantic weekend replacing rear wheel bearings (just a little too much movement in them), rear brake rotors (a smidge thin to pass) alternator (hopefully this one works!) and steering damper (the new OME one is huge compared to the original) plus various other little bits'n'pieces...

I've left the old sandblasted windscreen in to give them something to pick on.

Oh, and I found out this afternoon that my aircon compressor had seized, so I also had to change belts to take the aircon compressor out of the loop.

If I get a chance, I'll put some pics in the gallery of before, during and after shots. I'll get back to you tomorrow evening with what it failed on.

Cheers all!

Macca

Well, it's back... Here's the list:

Windscreen (Left to give them something to pick on)
Wiper inserts (Ditto)
Washers not working (The hose had fallen off the back of the squirter - I knew I should have locktited it)
Front brake pads (Hey, I could still see the grove in them!)
LHR brake disk cover loose (done already)
Front diff pinion seal leaks
Steering column lower joint R/S
Drivers door hinge sloppy

And as written by the tester : "Steering box has absolutely no feel whatsoever!! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

Now to take all the appropriate bits off the wreck in the backyard to get it up to scratch...

Question for you all: Does anyone know how to fix a sloppy door hinge (2 door RR)? If I have to, I'll swap the hinges over, but I'd prefer to fix the ones I've got as I'll never be able to find a matching color.

And here I was expecting 4 pages! (They didn't even pick the rear balljoint - mustn't be a roadworthy item)

Hope everyone had a good weekend!
