UHF Radio Recommendations

I put a GME remote head unit in my 2012 defer. Put the unit in a box that I made which is under the centre consol box. It has a sloped front that I clip the mike on. Works quite well.

Just installed the GME TX3100. Bought the plug and play version, and used it straight out of the box for about a year. The unit is small, and with the PNP version you get a suction cup window mount, and a small magnetic antenna (1dbi?) and a cig lighter socket. Used some magnetic tape and stuck the antenna on the roof. Suctioned it to the window behind the driver's seat.
Just recently got it hard wired, and mounted the unit on the driver's side off the cubby box, with the mic just next to the cup holders. The flexible 3dbi antenna is mounted with to the rear gutter, next to window washer, and the wiring was very easy to run to the unit at the cubby box.
No issues with the unit, and reception is good & clear. The remote head unit models were a little pricy for me not to use it daily.
