ARB have sent out a memo to all outlets detailing that due to some "small issues" that the Rear Diff Lock suitable for D3's and D4's should no longer be sold for D4's. Please note that no problems have been reported to Diff Locks fitted to D3's. I'm sure it won't be long before it's rectified.

Lucky I own a D3! :D

Cheers

Not so - recently announced rear diff locks - even our Amercian cousins have them.

Hold the phone....I know its been a while but am I reading it correctly that ARB supply a front and rear locker for D3's/D4's? Where can I find out more,

your local ARB store should be able to give you advice as to suitability, however you are looking at a fair few pennies to spend on what is already an awesome 4x4, that being said I will be putting a rear locker in :D

Funny you say that Baz, I said the same to my mate at ARB. I'm sure someone could verify this?

The only way I can see a problem, is if they have swapped out an E-Diff from a D4 and put a locker in and this has caused the issues.

Unless the 3.0l D4 diff is differant maybe:confused:

I doubt that the diff ratios would be different.

Got me stuffed why you would remove an E-diff and replace it with a locker:confused:

Seems like a big expensive effort for not much.

If the e-diff fails out of warranty I suspet it would be cheaper to swap to an ARB?

The e-diff can be expected to wear over time with serious offroad use, as it is essentially an active wet clutch setup.

What's the situation in 2015 with ARB rear diff locks for D4 and L320 RRS? Are there any alternatives such as Harrop e-lockers or whatever?

Cheers
