Current version of the story on the interwebs seems to be last production run in Dec 2015.

Dealers are not baulking at orders for delivery out in to mid next year.

Good Question

Yeah, I also wanna know the answer to this. When is the last chance for us Aussies to snap one of the last 90, 110 or 130 s to roll out of production at Sollihull?

I've read that the Defender might fall foul of Aussie road regs even before 2015 -and so might become ineligible for import as is the case in the States. Is there any truth in this, or will get we see the last of the Defenders?

I'm seriously thinking of placing a deposit to hold a place in the queue :) A 90 for the Mrs.

You guys might change your mind, if they ever decide to release a new one that could possibly be awesome' cross finger, eyes and toes' to replace it.

Thats what I am hoping for anyways.

Yes, JLR have stated that December 2015 will be the last month of production.
My Dealer & others have stated that sinse the announcement, there has, if anything, been increased interest in the iconic Defender.
It will be interesting to see how demand will be met in the final months, if demand outstrips supply?,...and it will also be interesting to see what any "final edition" will be like.
Cheers, Pickles.

I'm in the process of buying a new 110 now, and all the dealers I have spoken to have commented on an uptick in sales, especially of Defender 90's.

It will be interesting to see if the final year model has anything special about it, but I'm not willing to wait that long to roll the dice...

Hi, I have heard that Aust will not register any new non air bag vehicle after 2014 --does anyone know if this is true even for commercial vehicles which the Defender is classified as? If it is then it would seem next year is the end of the Defenders even if still being made of another year in the UK.
