Hi guys,
I hope you can help.
I am using Windows 8 on my laptop, and having downloaded Rave I tried to open it. Unfortunately I can only get to the opening page with the landrover picture on it. It will not open any further. Does anyone running Windows 8 had this problem? and is there a fix? I have also tried a disc, but it appears my disc player won't play ball!!
Any advice would be appreciated.
Ian

Thanks Steve for your reply, sorry it's taken so long to reply.
The only link is the picture but when you click on it nothing happens.
I think I may as well buy a copy from Aulro. At least then I'll know it works!
Of course I'll have to get windows8 to co-operate!

I don't remember having any problems on my windows 8 tablet.

Was your download a compressed zip or rar file? Maybe the files haven't been extracted or extracted properly.

Hi
Right click on the file
Select "open with"
Select adobe acrobat.
If Acrobat is not on the list go and down load it from adobe.com

Hi

In case you have a corrupted version, I have uploaded a copy to my P38 website here

I suspect he hasn't uncompressed it and has just opened the start file within the compressed file. Off memory the links aren't valid paths unless it's actually uncompressed. Windows 7 and 8 tend to not highlight that it's still compressed... But I could be wrong.

Although I have up to date eversion of Acrobat, each time I open RAVE, it shows Acrobat 4. I had some vague idea that later versions of Acrobat did not work with RAVE... can someone clarify this please?

It opened for me on Windows 7 and 8, one with Adobe 10 and the other 11. But windows 8 internal viewer didn't follow the links.

Whilst we are on the subject has any one put RAVE on an iPad? What app was used?

HI

I grabbed Adobe acrobat reader for iPad and installed it, then used iTunes to copy RAVE over

Works a treat :p

The Rave manual works on my Win 8.0 desktop and Win 8.1 laptop.
Do make sure you un-compress all the files. The easy way to do this is to select the entire subdirectory in the zip file and drag and drop them into a new folder.
