TD5 Engines and computers

Just wondering if the TD5 1999 130 Crew Cab has a computerized engine and if they do what year did they start computerizing the engines.

Yes, in Aust from 99 on.

Bugger, I will look at earlier models as I do not trust computers ,they don't mix well with water. Thanks for your help strangy.

Don't dismiss a TD5 engine - they are one of the best LR ever made.

a 300TDi from a bit earlier is also an excellent engine, and it has no electrics, so investigate one of these perhaps. The 200TDi is getting a bit old now, so 300 TDi might be what you are looking for.

Hi David ,You must have red my mind , I have been looking at 1996 crew cab 130 300TDi . I have heard they pull good down low for a 4 cyl . Not looking to do any Roostertails in sand ,leave that to V8s , I would like to see the countryside, not go past it.
