Well I took my tray top stage 1 over the pits today to see what they thought. Bearing in mind that I have no idea if it has ever been registered, and has carted hundreds of tons of firewood on my property it did very well,
- No rear mudflaps
- no rear tailpipe...was ripped off with the mudflap!
- wrong brake light bulb
- and a worn seat belt.
They did ask what the hell it had driven over owing to the battle scars under neath it! All in all pretty good, so look out drifter, book a date for our drag race...a hill climb perhaps!

Was that yours I saw parked in Kembla St Fyshwick today - if so you could have washed it first.

Yes Garry, that's the one, I figured if it's dirty they would spend less time looking at it..

I'll be ready. Just remember, equal weight in the vehicles.

Garry, you ride with Tim :)

Rego is done! Any ideas at how fast these stage ones max out at? opened it up on the monaro Hwy and passed alot of people..my speedo doesnt work,
but i know its got a mildly worked 4.2 rover on straight gas with extractors and a 2.5in system...pretty happy with how it goes..
The dog likes it too!!

yeah - right - and you think I am going to put my stock standard and tired 3.5L V8 up against that?

My speedo is kinda stuffed, too, so I use an iPhone app called SpeedBox to keep me out of trouble - Garry uses his GPS

Nice looking rig you have there!
What diff ratio does the stage one have?
Are they reving their butt off at highway cruising speeds?

Cheers, Mick.

A standard stage 1 has 3.54 diffs.

Mine isn't. Standard diffs and engine. I think my transfer case has been modified for on-road use. Today I was cruising at 90kph @ 2000rpm - 100kph @ 2250rpm

Speed was from the GPS, not the speedo as the speedo is a bit 'out'.

I have no speedo and no tacho... I just keep up with the traffic! picked my old man up in it today, he did comment that I will probably lose my license in it but geez it sounds good!
