For some reason the rear window wiper has decided to stop working on my disco. It's booked in to have a road worthy inspection on Friday. Do I need to worry about getting going again befor it goes over the pits?

remove the wiper arm from the car if you don't have time to fix it :D

When I had my D1 roadworthy'd it was checked. The tester failed it. When he rang me to tell me what it had failed on, I asked him if he had tried the rear wiper with the driver's door open? He said, probably, yes.
I said try again with the driver's door closed.
D1 passed roadworthy.

Just tried that with the door closed and it works. Have never noticed that in the last 7 years of owning it. Is that normal?

Yeah! a bit like the chiming when the door is open with the key still in, and the beeping when you leave the parkers/head lamps on.
but I do notice the lack of light warning on my Range Rover Classic ;)
