I got the dreaded scream from the EPB last week. Only owned the 2005 TDV6 about 4 weeks, been going perfectly.
So, onto the mighty forums and do all the adjustments.

The EPB Module was duly opened up and the rod wound back from being completely wound out, obviously no parking brake adjustments done even though the car has a full dealer history.

On to the rear brakes and try to pull the rear discs off to clean and inspect the parking brake shoes. Can not get the disc holding screw off on the drivers side, in fact have begun butchering the screw so have decided to stop.
I'm pretty sure this is where my problem lies as not only can't I get the disc off, I now cant turn the adjuster in or out. So I'm assuming new shoes would be a good investment.

After doing the wind back on the module, I did an adjustment on the parking brake shoes and then operated the handbrake switch. It didn't work and just screamed, not as bad as previously, so that is why I decided to attempt to take off the discs.

My question is, would this have forced the module to completely wind itself out again?

Also, does anyone know where in Canberra I could find someone who knows what their doing with the Disco parking brake.
