Hi,
I m doing 3.9 isuzu diesel coversion on my land rover county 110 which has a 3.5lt v8 and need help with the wiring to get the diesel running.

Am i able to use the v8 loom or do i switch it out for the diesel loom???

Thanks,

The main loom is exactly the same, infact I have swaped out my diesel main loom for a v8 one.

The engine loom is different, however. They both have the water temp, oil pres and alt, but the diesel loom has the electronic fuel solenoid (required for rego) and the glow plugs. By all accounts the glow plugs are not required in Australian conditions.

If you can get your head around the wiring diagram it would be simple enough to make your own, however I sent my loom off to auto sparks in the uk to copy it so they have a pattern for it and can make you a new one. It cost me about 800 all up for both the main and engine, but is worth every cent as my old loom was at best a fire hazard.

If you just wanted the engine loom it would be a lot less.

Also there are different types of v8 loom with small differences keep that in mind if you go new.
