View Full Version : Question: What rear bar is this?

Hello brains trust ;)

I saw this rear bar last week and was wondering if anyone knew who makes it. Judging by the towbar attachment I'm guessing it's from the UK, but I do like the idea of a step across the whole back of the vehicle.

Bonus points: Who wants to bet the motorbike rider parked right behind in the picture doesn't know how bad the rearward vision is in a 90? Then again could be worse, it could be a 110!:wasntme:

Thanks in advance!

It's a Land Rover accessory. You can get the NAS version which has the 2" receiver.

Neat - thanks for that. The NAS bar looks good.

I wonder if the overhang is significantly different to the factory / Hayman Reece bar?

This is the one on the back of mine, came from a UK company (Extreme 4x4 I think) I shipped my car over with it on, loads more substantial than the towbars you get from LR themselves.

Only problem is that you can't fit one of the heavy duty rear wheel carriers ( KayMar or Ridji Didge) with that style or bar.

Mantec ones fit fine.

Mantec ones fit fine.

Is the Mantec carrier a single or dual wheel carrier?

The bar is, as already stated, not Au compliant and fitment would technically make your vehicle unroadworthy. This would likely have very significant insurance and legal implications.
