Hello All,

I have to change Word's automatic format style for its captions for figures so it matches APA 6th style.

Figure 1. A Description of how to do Figure Captioning.

As noted above, the label (Figure 1) MUST be in italics. A brief description then follows but this section of the caption is NOT italicised.

I have completed some internet searches and found this link How do I create a caption for a figure using APA 6th Edition - Microsoft Community (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-word/how-do-i-create-a-caption-for-a-figure-using-apa/d6f17b1e-88df-425d-aa25-a16760ce2fc4) PamCaswell replied on May 20,2012

While Pam does break the process down step by step I got lost at the line with the With the cursor in the cursor in the Caption style paragraph,

Is Pam talking about the little window which I have marked with the red arrow? Or is "the cursor in the cursor" a totally different place?

Or do people know a whole better way to do this?

By the way my computer competence is only slightly above Luddite status :o. So the K.I.S.S theory relates to my ability on the computer.

Kind Regards
Lionel
